Underneath My Umbrella has been providing creative recovery spaces in the city of Knox since 17th October, 2019.

Offering a mid space not a counselling space, our service focuses on creativity and conversation empowering women to reclaim their identity, value and self worth.

In 2020, services were extended into Monbulk and surrounding areas before COVID lockdowns disrupted all our programs.

Re-emerging in 2023, services have been launched in Wantirna Sth, Ferntree Gully and extended to the Yarra Ranges in 2025 and City of Casey in February 2026.

Further strengthening and growing our mission to support women on the recovery journey from the impacts of family violence, Underneath My Umbrella became a registered charity on 4th December, 2025.

Our core team includes women with lived experience of the recovery journey, creatives with hearts of compassion and a board of women with a desire to build hope, empower, encourage and equip others to be released into greater freedom.
